ETA: I called and spoke with my supplier. I was told that since I had purchased my supplies (in July of 2010) they had changed the labeling. The owner was very apologetic and offered a refund, as well as a future discount. However, I intend to switch to using an online supplier, such as TKB, for both reliability and convenience (previous supplier was not located in my city).
There appears to be a mislabeling of several colors containing ultramarines. It was brought to my attention that they are not labeled as "Not Lip Safe" when they should be. I pay great detail in labeling and writing up ingredients lists, so to be honest I was a bit baffled that I hadn't noticed this before. Upon checking the ingredients, it appears that one of my ingredients may be improperly labeled by my supplier. I am currently unable to reach my supplier as they are closed on Sundays and Mondays, so I am not 100% certain this is the case. However, I would rather err on the side of caution and go ahead and state that the following colors are NOT LIP SAFE:
Those Gams!
Bombastico
Largo
Mondo
Balancing Act
Tough Stuff
Pollywog
Zippy
While I don't think anyone is going to go into a crazed frenzy over this (oh, the benefits of being a tiny little company with low sales!), in the event you feel the need to panic, don't do so. I mean, you could if you really wanted to but there isn't much of a reason: the common ingredient in all of these shades that is allegedly mislabeled by my supplier is used in very, very minute amounts. It is a black matte that I use very sparingly to add depth to these colors. Hence why colors like "Pollywog" and "Mondo" don't appear to have black in them. Colors that are predominantly black such as "Those Gams!" and "Tough Stuff" are mostly lip safe black micas; the black matte is still used in the same small ratio/proportion to add depth to these colors. I don't have a license in medicine (yet), but I can safely say that in the event you've used any of these colors on your lips you will not keel over dead because of it, or have any adverse reactions due to the ingredients unless you've been eating a spoonfull or two of these eye shadows for several days now...and if that's the case, then chances are you probably have some other problems you may want to get checked out.
Seriously speaking though: If you have ANY concerns or questions about these ingredients being not safe for lip use, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT ME. If you are in any way unhappy with your purchase of these colors please email me at linnaeuscosmetics@gmail.com. I sincerely apologize for overlooking this detail when creating labels for these colors.
I will have an update for this post once I am able to contact my supplier on Tuesday.
Thanks

Sale!
Hi everyone! So, the next few weeks are going to be a bit hellish over here, which is frightening considering how rough the past few weeks have been and they weren't even that daunting at the start!
I will be out of town the next 2 weekends to present research. MN and NY here I come! I have to prepare presentations for these conferences, on top of the piles upon piles of course work I have with my name all over.
Thus, I'm going to temporarily set my turn around time to 1 week. It is likely that orders will ship before a week passes, but I'm going to say 1 week just in case things get right crazy. To apologize for the long turn around time, I'm having a sale: for every $20 spent, receive 1 full size jar of eye shadow of your choosing, free!
Once I get through these weeks it will be the end of the semester and LC will get all of my attention...which means that website will finally launch, woohoo! I really wish I could manage to have it launched sooner, as well as the new collections, but school work and orders are taking priority.
I hope everyone is doing well!
